The five things people ask about most, and what to do about each.
The Mac app will not open
Double-clicking does not work the first time. Right-click DriveXos in Applications, choose Open, then press Open in the warning. After that it opens normally. The warning appears because the build is not signed with an Apple Developer ID yet.
The scan is taking a long time
A first scan of a full drive is the slow one. Use Quick for a faster look, and turn on fast scanning in Settings. Scanning a network or external drive is always slower than the drive inside your computer.
A drive is missing from the list
Make sure it is plugged in and visible in File Explorer or Finder, then reopen DriveXos. Some system locations need Administrator rights or permission to read, and DriveXos asks only when it genuinely needs it.
My licence key is not accepted
Copy the whole key, including the DXOS1. at the start, with no spaces or line breaks. If the app says the licence is already in use, press Deactivate on the computer that has it. If it says it cannot reach the licence server, connect to the internet and try again.
I deleted something I wanted to keep
Open the Recycle Bin, or the Trash on a Mac, and put the file back. That is where cleanups send files unless you deliberately chose to delete permanently.
